Information on how DoubleDividend takes sustainability factors into account when investing

Disclosure of Information on Sustainability

On March 10, 2021, the Regulation on sustainability-related disclosures in the financial services sector (EU 2019/2088) (the “Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation,” hereinafter referred to as “SFDR”) entered into force. Pursuant to the SFDR, DoubleDividend Management B.V. (hereinafter also referred to as DoubleDividend) is required to include information on its website regarding how it takes sustainability factors into account in its investment decisions. Sustainability factors are defined as: environmental, social, and labor issues; respect for human rights; and the fight against corruption and bribery.

DoubleDividend and Its Investment Philosophy

Through its activities, DoubleDividend aims to bridge the gap between financial and social returns, based on the conviction that a comprehensive analysis of financial and sustainability aspects makes a positive contribution to the investment portfolio’s risk-return profile. DoubleDividend has established this as its primary objective in its articles of incorporation, which is why we are called DoubleDividend.

Statement on the Most Significant Adverse Effects of Investment Decisions on Sustainability Factors

DoubleDividend takes the most significant adverse effects into account in its investment process. To this end, the fund manager has conducted an ESG analysis. ESG stands for Environmental, Social, and Governance. The ESG analysis includes a large number of indicators that assess a company’s environmental and social characteristics. When selecting governments, the analysis considers democracy, corruption, and environmental policy. Governments must meet a minimum score on The Economist’s Democracy Index, the Corruption Perception Index, and the Yale Environmental Performance Index. Through its ESG analysis, DoubleDividend takes into account the most significant adverse effects on sustainability factors. For more information, see the statement on the most significant adverse impacts of investment decisions on sustainability factors (2025–2021)

Sustainability Risks

Investments may be exposed to sustainability risks. A sustainability risk is defined as an event or circumstance in the environmental, social, or governance sphere that, if it occurs, could have an actual or potentially material adverse effect on the value of the investment. Integrating sustainability factors into the investment policy helps manage sustainability risks. Learn more about sustainability and DoubleDividend’s investment policy.
