Sustainable Development Goals

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are a set of goals for sustainable development between 2015-2030. Adopted by the United Nations in September 2015, the SDGs consist of 17 broad objectives with 169 underlying targets. The SDGs apply to all countries and place responsibility on governments and non-profit organisations as well as the private sector. At DoubleDividend we believe that we as investors also bear responsibility for the realisation of the SDGs.

Furthermore we are convinced that capital has a guiding role and can therefore have an important positive impact on the realisation of the SDGs. The SDGs are therefore fully integrated into DoubleDividend’s sustainability policy. For each individual SDG there are multiple investments within the portfolios that make a positive contribution to each specific goal. Various examples of positive contributions to the SDGs through the investments of DoubleDividend are provided below.

Ensure access to affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy for all.

Make cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable.

Protect, restore and promote sustainable use of terrestrial ecosystems, sustainably manage forests, combat desertification, and halt and reverse land degradation and halt biodiversity loss.

Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all.

Promote sustained, inclusive and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment and decent work for all.

Ensure sustainable consumption and production patterns.

Promote peaceful and inclusive societies for sustainable development, provide access to justice for all and build effective, accountable and inclusive institutions at all levels.
