PRIVACY STATEMENT OF DOUBLEDIVIDEND MANAGEMENT B.V.,
having its registered office and place of business in Amsterdam,
and registered with the Chamber of Commerce under number 30199843.

This document describes the policy of DoubleDividend Management B.V. (hereinafter: ‘DoubleDividend’) for the collection, processing, usage, storage and protection of personal data (hereinafter: ‘Privacy Statement’).

DoubleDividend specialises in tailored investment, asset management and advice as well as the management of sustainable investment funds. This Privacy Statement applies to all business activities and services of DoubleDividend and to (the use of) the website www.doubledividend.nl.

Processing of personal data
Personal data is information that can be used to identify a natural person. A person is identifiable if a certain piece of information enables that person’s identity to be established, directly or indirectly, without disproportionate effort. Examples of directly identifying information include name, address and date of birth. The term personal data also refers to information that cannot be traced back to an individual directly but can be used together with other data to identify an individual. Examples include an IP address.

Asset management agreement
If you enter into an agreement with DoubleDividend for asset management or advice on your assets or may wish to enter into such an agreement we will process the following data from you:

  • Last name, first name and initials;
  • Address details;
  • Email address;
  • Telephone number;
  • Proof of identity;
  • LEI (Legal Entity Identifier) code;
  • Payment details;
  • IP address and MAC address;
  • Browser types and times of user activity.

Investors in our sustainable investment funds
If you are an investor in one of our sustainable investment funds then we may process the following personal data from you:

  • Last name, first name and initials;
  • Address details;
  • Email address;
  • Telephone number;
  • Proof of identity;
  • Payment details.

Newsletters
As a client you may receive our newsletter informing you of the latest developments and information regarding our products and services. You can also register for our newsletter on the website. In that case you will only be asked for your name and email address. At the bottom of every newsletter you will find a link that you can use to unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time.

Contact form, arranging an appointment or further information
When you fill in a contact form we will ask for your name and email address. In addition you may provide your telephone number if you would prefer us to contact you by phone. If you wish to arrange an appointment with us or to receive further information we will also ask for your name and your email address and/or telephone number.

Purposes of processing personal data
Personal data that you provide to DoubleDividend will be used for the following purposes:

  • to enable us to conclude agreements with you and to execute and deliver on these;
  • to agree assignments and/or be able to execute these or have these executed;
  • to inform you about our services and other activities (for example via email, newsletters and company magazines) and to enable us to make you offers;
  • to enable us to comply with the applicable legislation and regulations;
  • for financial administration purposes; and
  • to enable us to allow you to access and use our website www.doubledividend.nl.

Grounds for the processing of personal data
If you wish to engage us to manage or advise on your assets, request information from us or wish to schedule an appointment with us we will process your personal data in order to implement an agreement. In addition we will process certain personal data because we are legally required to do so.

DoubleDividend may also have a legitimate interest in processing your personal data, for example a direct marketing interest. However in all situations DoubleDividend will properly weigh the protection of your privacy on the one hand against the legitimate interest of DoubleDividend on the other. Your personal data will only be processed based on the aforementioned grounds if the legitimate interest of DoubleDividend outweighs your right to privacy.

In all other cases we will explicitly request your consent to process personal data. If you have given consent for your personal data to be processed you have the option to withdraw this consent at any time.

Recipients of your data
DoubleDividend will handle your personal details confidentially and with care and will only use such details as are necessary to provide its services. In certain cases we will share your personal data with third parties, including, but not limited to:

  • third parties such as regulators and other bodies, in order to comply with legal requirements; or
  • third parties, such as the (custodian) banks BinckBank N.V. and CACEIS BANK Netherlands Branch and administrative agents, which are relevant to the provision of our services; or
  • external suppliers in relation to the processing of your personal data, such as ICT suppliers, suppliers of communication services and/or other suppliers to whom we outsource certain support services.

Third parties
The DoubleDividend website may contain references and/or hyperlinks to one or more third-party websites. DoubleDividend shall in no way be liable for the way in which such third parties handle the privacy legislation. DoubleDividend therefore recommends that you read the privacy policy of these third-party websites so that you are aware of how these third parties handle your personal data.

Cookies
Our website www.doubledividend.nl uses cookies. A cookie is a small text file that is placed on your device and stores information about how you use the website. Most browsers offer the option to disable cookies or ask your permission each time a server wants to place a cookie on your device. If you do not allow cookies this may affect your user experience and/or limit your access to certain parts of the website.

DoubleDividend uses the following cookies:

  • Functional cookies: cookies which are essential for the technical functioning of the website or which provide a service or option requested by you.
  • Analytical cookies: cookies which are placed by a third-party service provider we work with: Google Analytics. This type of cookie does not identify you as an individual but helps DoubleDividend for example to:
    • analyse the usage of the website or
    • to compile statistics.

Google Analytics uses cookies to generate statistical and other information about the usage of the website. Google saves this information and uses it for reporting purposes. Google’s privacy policy is available at http://www.google.com/privacypolicy.html.

Google furthermore belongs to the Privacy Shield Framework, a recognised mechanism for complying with data protection guidelines when transferring personal data between the European Economic Area (EEA), Switzerland and the United States.

Retention period
Your personal data will be retained for no longer than necessary for the purpose for which DoubleDividend collects or processes the information, unless DoubleDividend needs to retain your data for longer in order to comply with a statutory retention obligation.

Security of personal data
DoubleDividend has taken appropriate technical and organisational measures based on current technology standards to protect your personal data against loss or any form of unlawful processing.

Transmission to other countries
DoubleDividend will not transmit your personal data to countries outside the European Union.

Rights of those involved
Objection
You can object free of charge against the use of your personal data for direct marketing purposes, without the need to state a reason, by sending an email to privacy@doubledividend.nl. DoubleDividend will cease to use your personal data for direct marketing purposes at first request.

In all other cases you may lodge an objection against the processing of your data on the grounds of exceptional personal circumstances by sending an email to privacy@doubledividend.nl. Within four weeks of receiving your objection DoubleDividend will decide whether the objection is justified. If so, DoubleDividend will cease to process your data.

Rectification, inspection, deletion, restriction and data portability
Furthermore you have the right to
• rectify;
• inspect;
• delete; and
• transfer your personal data.

You may also have our processing of your personal data restricted and you have the right not to be subjected to any automated decision-making.

If you wish to make use of these rights then please send an email to privacy@doubledividend.nl. DoubleDividend will inform you by email within four weeks to what extent it can meet your request. Rectification will take place where personal data is factually inaccurate, incomplete or irrelevant to the purpose for which it is processed or has otherwise been processed in breach of the privacy regulations. Moreover your rights may be limited if this is necessary to ensure your protection, the rights or freedoms of others or the recovery of civil damages.

Complaints
In conclusion we wish to inform you that you have the right to submit a complaint to the Dutch Data Protection Authority regarding the processing of your personal data by DoubleDividend if we fail or have failed to deal with your complaint to your satisfaction.

This Privacy Statement may be subject to change. This Privacy Statement is published on the website www.doubledividend.nl so keep a close eye on the website for any changes. This Privacy Statement was last updated on 4 April 2021.
